At our Parish, we believe that celebration is a part of Christian worship and we celebrate a number of special days in special ways. In addition to the following celebrations, there are others which occur from time to time.
Presentation Past Present and Future dinner (November)
We take time to remember and give thanks for our past and our present and to ask God's blessings on our future. We do this together through liturgy. Then in the Presentation of the Beloved Virgin Mary Parish tradition, we celebrate.
Saint Patrick's Dinner
Many of the Parish's founding religious leaders were Irish and this dinner celebrates those founding leaders and the country they originated from. It is held on the week-end of or immediately prior to St. Patrick's Day (March 17).
Woman of the Year
Annually the Parish selects Woman of the Year. This female parishioner provides a outstanding example of Catholic service and charity and is nominated by the parish members at large, she is selected from the nominees by the Parish Council and is celebrated at a luncheon.
Presentation Golf Tournament
All members of the Parish are invited to play golf and to socialize during this school fundraiser, held in the spring.
Annual Woman's Luncheon
A fundraiser, for Presentation School, luncheon and table decoration contest.
Viewing of the Passion of Christ
This movie, directed by Mel Gibson, is the center piece of the Good Friday celebration, sponsored by the Youth Group.
Lenten Friday Soup and Bread
This simple meal following the Stations of the Cross is a opportunity to socialize with other parishioners, sponsored by the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
Presentation Days
There is a nominal charge for the Saturday dinner that covers expenses. The Sunday celebration is all without charge. There are kiddie games, bingo for all ages, a cakewalk, attendance prizes, etc. This is a total parish function and all are encouraged to give a little of their time and talent for its success.
School Open House
An opportunity to see what the Presentation School Students study and a viewing of the facility, hosted by Presentation School.
Crab feed
A dinner, dance and auction, a school fundraiser for the Presentation School.
