Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish

Fiesta de Las Americas

Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish will hold its 5th Annual Fiesta in honor of our Blessed Lady On Sunday, December 9th, 2007

During Christmas season many Churches throughout the Southwest and Latin American countries celebrate the feast of Our Blessed Lady. Most notable are celebrations of our Lady of Guadalupe, the patron Saint of Mexico and the United States.  Presentation Parish is unique in that it incorporates the Blessed Mother of Latin American countries represented by the Presentation Parish family such as Costa Rica, Cuba, El Salvador, Panama, and Nicaragua.

The Fiesta begins with the 10:30 AM Bilingual Mass, special Aztec blessing, procession of Saints, and bilingual musical selections by the Presentation Choir. The Celebrant will be Fr. George Wansen of the Newman Center who spent a number of years in Latin America.

Immediately following Mass, the Fiesta will commence in the Parish Hall. The Fiesta will feature a delicious enchilada plate by Kiko’s Restaurant, cultural dance presentations, drinks and desserts.

Tickets may be purchased after every Mass beginning November 17th.  The price is $10.00 for adult and $5.00 for children.  Tickets may also be obtained by calling  Irene Cervantes at 972-8585.

Join us in the pageantry and solemnity of this very special event!
